Once Upon A Time

by Blackthistle   Mar 3, 2007

Once upon a time
There was a reason for a rhyme,
There was a chance for every time,
There was a stem for every lime.

Once upon a time
There was a road for every house,
There was a grain for every mouse,
There was a reason for a spouse.

Once upon a time
There was a reason to cry,
There was a chance to die,
There was an answer to why.

Once upon a time
I looked around and saw these things.
Now I look around and only see what they believe.
I see the church,
I see the government,
I see the concrete,
I see the glass.

But where is the kingdom?
Where is the castle?
Where is the grass?
Where are the farms?
They are lost in a storybook
From once upon a time..
