Old Memories

by adie   Mar 3, 2007

Sneaking thoughts crawled unseen within me
Waiting for the moment when they would be set free
Concealed beneath flooded water remaining disguised
So that when let loose they'd catch me by surprise
Flooding back to me now are old memories held locked inside
Trapped behind barbed wire, tangled and left there to hide
And though the days have passed and long since died
I can't help but remember those tears I once cried
