High Schools Tragedies

by *~Broken_Seraph~*   Mar 5, 2007

Here today and gone tomorrow,
together through the laughs and sorrow.
Friendships that will out last life,
and scars of silent quivering strife.

Skills discovered and honed for future use,
through days where creativity begs to let loose.
Our time wasted, sand lost from the hour-glass,
as we absently shuffle from class to class.

Quiet pains that shred our souls,
eating away, like rust on gold.
Teens that line their arms in red,
and jocks who never use their heads.

Divided by contorted hierarchies we stand,
separated and kept apart, by distorted reprimands.
Will we ever survive, this heaven's tragic wreck,
or will we all soon swing from trees, broken hearts and broken necks?

Ignored by ignorant parents, told that we have it made,
they never see the quiet screams, the blood that we must pay.
Or told that we have problems, and then put on ignore,
they blindly turn such a def ear, to that which we emplore.
