Dance

by chelsa   Mar 5, 2007

If I could have just one thing,
it's be a dance with him.
A slow, close melody,
a magical story-book hymn.

It's all I could ever want,
right when I hear a slow song.
I wish he would come to me,
and we'd sweetly dance along.

Even without music,
I could care less.
I just want that perfect moment,
rid the world of it's mess.

It would be so perfect
as he'd come to me across the floor.
Everything around would be a blurr
just me, him, the music and nothing more.

What a dream come true.
Such a sweet embrace this perfect denial,
My heart skips a few beats,
I wish I could stay more than this while.

So lean in a little closer now,
tune out everything around us I hear.
Turn down the noises of the world
turn up the music in my ear.
