So Long Sucker

So this is the story from a couple years ago, of an ex-friend
and how one day our relationship came to an end.

We were like a trio, my best friend since first grade
and this new girl who moved from out of state.

It was in fifth grade, she was small and blond
Everyone thought she was so cool and I caught on.

It was in seventh grade, we were really tight
Until when in summer she went away and we got in a fight.

Something went wrong, and she somehow got angry
so she said the absolute most mean things to me.

Everyone at school started hating her, because they liked me more
at the time I was overjoyed, for my heart she had made sore.

However my best friend took mostly her side
and still liked her, her evilness was able to slide.

This upset me a lot it was hard to take
so we argued all summer and took a long break.

That summer while the mean girl was away,
her and her boyfriend broke up one day.

So my best ended up hating the guy, while I thought it was so funny
and on top of all my happiness, the girl found out she would have to move again, down south where it's sunny.

I could not wait until those months came to an end
so she'd be gone, and me and my best would be back where we began.

Well it took my best a while to get over her anger toward the boy
but once the girl said she was over him, my best moved in for a try.

So in all this excitement, we add in a little irony
while the girl was away, my best and the ex-boyfriend started getting friendly.

They ended up completely falling for each other, head over heels
and when the girl came back she was so jealous she could barely even deal.

She tried taking the guy I liked, but then we were all at a birthday bash
she caused a scene to make her ex feel sorry for her, she made the party a complete trash.

Everyone was so mad at her, they couldn't even bare she would do such a thing.
I just sat back and knew of it all along, the drama this girl would bring.

So December came, and she had to move away
I was so excited it was hard to not smile in school on that big moving day.

My best ended up getting the boy back, and they had a great relationship
the girl couldn't ruin what she didn't know on that summer trip.

And even better than getting the boy of her dreams
me and my best got so much closer because of this, so it seems.

Everyone was crying that moving day; such fake sadness, it was quite clever.
I just watched her leave my Spanish class thinking "So long sucker, see ya never."
