Seeker of the night.

by Isabelle   Mar 5, 2007

Blood dripping down your lips onto the ground,
your pale skin glowing.

Even though I should hate you,
I don't.

I am one of you now.
A fighter of the day,
A lover of the night.

My senses are at least ten times stronger,
I can hear up to a mile away,
I run faster than the fastest wind on the other side of the earth,
I can even stop breathing.

My once brown hair,
turns red as blood,
but is silkier than any Chinese tapestry.

The lives that I will take,
just the idea,
shatters my soul,
but I must do what I must to survive.
Now that I am a seeker of the night,
a Vampire.

I had a vague idea that you were referring to a vampire from the start, however I still absolutely loved this poem. The morbidness created was really great. I enjoyed reading it.
