Worth the Wait

by I Seem to be the Heartless   Mar 6, 2007

Confused
About love;
Confused
About life.
Confident,
But oh so self-conscious;
Intelligent,
But oh so naive.
Beautiful,
Yet deeply scarred;
Young,
Yet aged by the wait,
The wait for the one,
The one who will love you
For who you are,
What you stand for,
For your beauty
That radiates
From within.
And one day he'll come,
He'll take your heart
Treasure it,
Frame it.
You'll realize
That the wait was worth it
And that Love
Is more than just
An emotion -
It's an eternity
Waiting to engulf you...

    I liked this poem...perhaps I am just biased to the topic though. But reguardless, the flow was smooth which i appreciate in any poem. Not sure if all the punctuation is correct or needed but you might try and find out just in case. Good job.
