Just when you think you have your act together
something comes along and makes a mess of everything.
One day you see a small child and then the next time you look - he is a teenager with a girl on his arm. One day you see red and the next time you really pay attention to it, it has faded to a rosy pink. You think you are happy, and out of the clear blue sky, you get a glimpse of yesterday - days that made your heart sing and your soul dance. One day you believe that your life is settled and will go according to plan - then out of nowhere life throws a monkey wrench into it all and it flies apart, scattering pieces everywhere .... Now you must change to accommodate the changes - your thoughts must undergo a radical change - you must hide the truth from yourself and pretend that all is well - then people begin to tell you that you have changed and they don’t know you anymore. People change toward you, and as a result you change toward them. So many changes take place that you don't even know yourself any more and no one knows you, and they don't know who they are and it goes on and on and on....
