I've got you

by becca   Mar 7, 2007

Torn apart and broken,
Crushed and in defeat,
Harmed and hurt and injured,
Flawed and incomplete.

Stumbling and fallen,
Tears cascade like streams,
Unachieved ambitions
And unaccomplished dreams.

But then you come,
You take my hand,
You pick me up,
And help me stand,
Your grace exchanges everything.

Fulfillment and perfection,
I feel your peace inside,
You know what lies ahead of me,
So I'll you be my guide.

The tears, they still are falling,
Cascading tears of glee,
Cause I was lost, but now I'm found
I was bind but now I see

Because you came,
And you took my hand,
You picked me up,
Helped me to stand,
Your grace salvaged everything.

And nothing else matters anymore,
The hurt just disappears,
Your amazing love, it covers me,
Your grace wipes away my tears.
And every thing's filled with happiness,
In this life of plight and trial,
Through the midst of all my sadness,
I cannot help but smile,
Cause I've got you, Lord,
Saviour I've got you,
You make it all OK Lord,
Saviour I've got you.
