I've heard it once before

by Shanna   Mar 7, 2007

You say you are sorry,
I have heard it once before...
but sorry doesn't cut it,
at least not anymore.
I am so sick and tired and done with all your ways,
I’m through with all the torment
and sadness you put into my days.
No matter how much you beg…
to get me to forgive...
I am getting on with my life, a better,
healthier way to live.
So you can say your sorry, telling another lie,
as I stand there before you trying not to cry.
Oh how bad I want to hold you in my arms all night,
while you whisper softly into my ear,
"everything will be all right".
But deep inside I know.
That what you did was wrong...
so babe I leave you now,
singing the saddest song.
