Lost Bride

by Erin   Mar 8, 2007

Shes running toward the ocean
because she lost him and her devotion.
That girl wants to go off shore, off that beach
so she can keep everyone out of reach.
some say this is the place where she runs and hides
to get away from the world and its lies.
she comes to this place, hope to find
the thing she cant remember at the back of her mind.
she wears that dress in memories of him, before the clock hits seven.
Before he died and went to heaven.
As she whispers into the wind "I miss you Evan."
She sits on the sandy beach alone and cries.
Hoping she can reach him when she flies.
There are no colors or words to describe
the day that she almost became his bride
before he went to heaven and died.
