Forgotten

by Amanda   Mar 8, 2007

Forgotten?

His sunken face shows lonliness
In the lines and wrinkles settled in.

He sits alone in the corner as
He rocks in his rocking chair.

He stares out the mindow motionless
As I walk in to see him.

He turns slowly to see me standing there
and a smile creeps onto his face.

He thought he was forgotten
But how could I forget him?

This was the man that spent his life
Trying to make me happy.

This man,my father, is my teacher,
My friend,my hero.

He spoiled me rotten as a child and I
am grateful for everything he did for me.

I want you to know I'll love you forever
I love you Daddy.

This poem seems sentimental and touching
    nicely done
