Winter

by Bryan   Mar 9, 2007

Someday you'll know all this
So now I'll tell you all.
All the things that I will miss,
In summer, spring and fall.

I'll miss the smell of spring.
When I first saw a flower bloom,
And a bird with a broken wing,
From which I kept a plume.

I'll miss the warmth of summer.
Oh! How I danced in the night!
My heart was the only drummer,
Whose beat I've kept in delight.

I'll miss the wind in the fall,
My silent counselor in life,
Who helped me in my withdrawal.
But twisted in my side a knife.

But one thing I'll never miss
Is that torture and poison bitter.
Which makes me yearn one kiss,
Which puts me through eternal winter.

But don't worry about it, my dear.
This winter is not so bad.
I'll just put on some winter gear
And show a mask that is not sad.
