Scars

by L a u r e n   Mar 9, 2007

I sat on the bus
Next to the young boy
Who stared up at me
Through glazed eyes
Why does he stare?
Stop it i shout.
All i get is 'Silence' theres people about.

Everyone stares
For the rest of the journey
Don't they understand
That the staring hurts me
Stop it i shout.
Why stare at me
Stare at the old women
Who can't see.

I'm not here to be stared at
Not today.
Turn around
Don't look this way.

Why do you stare?
Wait. I know why you do.
Your trying to get a brilliant view.
I'm not some freak show.
If i was i would charge
Ten pounds please
To see the girl with the scars

When you see someone
With a scar layed upon their face
Don't stare
Don't look
Your a disgrace.

Their just the same
With a different feature.
Who cares anyway.
It's only flesh and bone
It's whats inside that matters.
Listen. I'm the teacher.
