Ode to my mind

Oh my mind, where did you go wrong?
you use to be happy, all the day long.
A bad thought was never crossed
up til lately, you've never been lost.
Past couple of years, you've gotten lazy
doing nothing but thinking, you went crazy.
You've got me in trouble, quite a few times
you a bad thing, you stupid little mind.
But at the same same time, i do praise you
for all the stupid things that you do.
You help me do good, and the right thing
you dont pick a prince, only the king.
You help me choose between wrong and right
when im out, late at night.
You are really wise, you just act dumb
you're an index finger stretched out from a thumb.
but at the end of the day, you'll be here for me
and help me with problems, and see who i can be.
