Promises

by Romancing the Darker Side   Mar 11, 2007

He's walking out,
You're half asleep,
He just swore,
He'd try to stay clean;

You're calling now,
Gonna scream,
Tell him like always,
He needs to leave;

I thought:
maybe for once you'd try to make something matter.
Maybe for once you'd actually care.
Maybe this time we can start things over,
Maybe you're just not there,

    I wrote this poem about how my dad just walked out on me and my mom. Again. It's actually going to be a song, but this is all I have so far.
