Slipping Into Darkness

by The Crappy Poet   Mar 11, 2007

The sweet smell of death, soothing my every wound
Relaxation replaces the tension, I feel that I am slipping away
Light becomes dark until darkness is all that is left
Heartbeat slows till I hear it no more
Skin grows cold slowly as blood stops its flow
Feeling disappears my whole body numb
All emotion vanished, everything gone
I lay here lifeless on the floor, as the toxins continue to kill the rest of me
I lay here and I feel everything
Regretting my decision? Possibly
