The Corpse Bride.

by Lexie   Mar 11, 2007

She walks solo.
Her life hanging on to a thread.
The depression coming in waves.
She's all alone in this world.

Gazing up at the stars.
Realizing the universe is empty.
That life is so very lonely.
Is it worth the misery?

Her shadow is the only thing that walks beside her.
The anguish and fear trailing behind.
And soon enough death will pounce.
And it will be a happily ever after ending.

The after life will greet her with arms wide open.
It will be forever, like a marriage.
Death will flow through her.
It will read her, like an open book.

So skinny and pale.
Jetting black hair and cold soulless eyes.
Hate speaks through her cuts.
And they call her the corpse bride.

Her white wedding dress flowing in the wind.
The dark red blood staining the satin.
Her soul and heart searching for her lost love.
She won't rest until she's found him.

She'll walk the earth until she sees his face.
And the legacy will live on for all eternity.
The story about a girl.
And how her love died on their wedding day.

How she tried to follow him.
But her efforts proved futile.
For her soul forever remains walking the earth.
The legacy of the corpse bride.
