Just a moment...

by Stephanie smiles   Mar 11, 2007

I was born into in a world of escape,

A hiding place for those in despair.

Where everybody felt sorry for themselves.

Moments passed and yet it seemed so unfair

Little boy alone in the shadow,

You think that no one understands.

Nobody will ever hear you,

So you're not worth the time or chance.

Just look a little bit closer,

No one is standing that far away.

Theres more to it than you think,

Do not be afraid.

Outside your outlook gets a little bit brighter,

Theres no point in seeing the world in shades of Grey

When your life is moving no where,

When you feel broken and bent

Close your eyes-trust your heart,

Stop for just a moment.

Young girl with the black stains upon your face,

Wipe the fear from your eyes,

Its okay to admit that you made a mistake,

Hes not worth the tears you may cry.

Young boy you broke your promise,

You did the same thing you said you would never.

You turned out like him as you raised your hand,

You've damaged her forever.

Outside your outlook gets a little bit brighter,

Theres no point in seeing the world in shades of Grey.

When your life is moving no where,

When you feel broken and bent

Close your eyes-trust your heart,

Stop for just a moment.

We may never understand

What our destiny is,

What our dreams are telling us,

Where that missing piece is.

Cause we spend all our time

Mourning over of our yesterdays,

Looking for the short-cuts,

Searching for those easier ways.

Hey boy-you missed the train,

But theres always tomorrow.

Hey girl-keep on dreaming,

You've got so much further to go

When your life is moving no where,

When you feel broken and bent

Close your eyes-trust your heart,

Stop for just a moment.

Outside your outlook gets a little bit brighter,

Theres no point in seeing the world in shades of Grey.

...Stop for just a moment
