Silence is the sound that nobody hears,
It passes so slowly and changes the years,
As much as you try nothing will change,
To deafen the sound is silence's game.
The whispers so soft, its the gentle noise,
That enters your ears to get to your mind,
Words that are empty, clear as glass,
Make you wonder with awe and take gentle gasps.
The heartbeat inside that skips a beat,
Wishes so softly and waits for the heat,
A silent gaze upon your face,
Whispering words that light up your fate.
You miss all the times you were happy inside,
The feverish memories of a past life,
Seeing and knowing what has been and gone,
Wishing for something new to come along.
The very last kiss is buried so deep,
The embrace of love distant but sweet,
In your dreams at night you see what you want,
In view of the morn, is when you believe it has gone.
Without hope there is nothing,
No strength to carry on,
What you need, what you want blur into one,
Your mind plays games as much as everyone.
To the far away times seen in your past,
Do you see it too? And all we've become?
Do you need and want what has been lost?
Shall I step back or move forward to become a ghost?
