Sleeping in happiness

You destroyed me
You killed me inside
You broke me down and
now, i hide.

i wish that i could tell you
how i really feel
that i still love you
even if you don't agree
i will never forget you
my first one and only

now when i wake up
i dread they day to come
knowing that it will be full of
tears, hurt, and pain

but when i fall asleep
its my favorite thing to do
because than i don't have to face
all my thoughts and hopes
about you.

And as I sleep
my dreams are full of happy times
that we have shared together

When i wake up
i just strive for the feeling that we used to share
for i know that this day
will be full of despair
