Moving Toward the Light

by Lollypop   Mar 14, 2007

Do not rely on me to save you,
For I cannot even save myself.
I wonder around in darkness
Always seeking light,
But never finding it.
You may call me what you like.
I do not care.
I stopped caring long ago.
Now I'm just burning memories.
Memories of evil, of good,
Of dark, of light,
Of sorrow, and of joy.
Memories of wisdom on my part,
And foolishness.
I know not what I seek
Or what I may find in the end.
All I know is that I must keep moving on,
Always toward the light.

The ending kind of interrupted with the flow of the poem, but it was unique and really well written.
