The heart

by Stephanie   Mar 15, 2007

The heart is treacherous
It blinds you to imperfection
It can make a lion look like an innocent lamb

People say to trust your heart.
Those people are wrong
The heart is not to be trusted

If it directs you, you are destined to fall off a cliff
For man cannot direct his own step
Not with his heart leading the way

The heart was never meant to lead you
Your heart is a traitor; it will lead you to sin
It is an untrustworthy deceiver

It will get your trust and later shatter it
Your heart will do anything to fulfill its desires
It is not a friend; it is evil

So remember, do not trust your hearts
For the heart is more treacherous than anything else and is desperate. Who can know it?
