The Meaning

by Hannah Emellia   Mar 16, 2007

As we feel through dark days,
And into darker nights,
We mostly miss the switch,
That could still turn on the lights,

We wonder through our lives,
Only seeing what e know,
Acting out the search for meaning,
But, it's mostly just for show,

Deep inside you know the answer,
To this riddle we call life,
But you hide the answer from yourself,
And guard it closely with a knife,

Hiding from yourself,
Wont protect you from your fate,
The answer you once scorned,
Wont try to save you; it's too late.
