Open Our Eyes

by Richard L.   Mar 16, 2007

Sometimes I just wish the world was a dream rather than a nightmare
because no matter how far you go, you're going to see negativity everywhere
You'll see people shooting people because of the colors they claim or have on
But people don't realize once they pull that trigger, the other person's gone
You see our soldiers going to war risking their own lives fighting for one person
As years go by, the war that he started doesn't get better at all, it just worsens
While teens begin to have sex, they are still too young to really understand
You see girls having abortions or finding a new born baby in trash can
Human beings are being racially discriminated against by the color of their skin everyday
You'll hear people calling someone a faggot or a fag just because the other person is gay
If you believe in Jesus Christ, I'm pretty sure He didn't want us to be this way
By the way people are acting so far, consider all our souls doomed on Judgment Day
It's all on us if we want to turn things around and start acting like humans
You have to step up to make a difference because if you don't, then who is?
