Sadness...A Reprise?

by Cam M   Mar 17, 2007

We drip
we phase

In, slurp, out, slurp

Silence settles like a wet, white bed sheet
Smothering out the world
A waiting, but for now, irrelevant entity

Light casts a dim shadow in here
Cool, smooth, austere, and very wet

So, so wet

This tourniquet, a life saver
A thin, valuable sheath of calm

Soon, the bed will be changed
but not yet

not yet
