Over-Protective

Why can't I choose
Why won't you let me make my own decisions
Whether there right or wrong
I need to make mistakes so I can learn from them
I won't learn, if you don't let me

There's protective and there's over-protective
Protective is worrying about your kid but still letting them make their own mistakes and learning from them
Then there's over-protective whee you won't let your kid do anything, so they can't learn from anything

You think I'm childish
But that's because when I'm away from you, I can have fun and be able to do anything without being told I can't because it will be a mistake

You say I'm immature
But I don't know anything else
If I'm immature I can get what I want
But is I try to act my age I can't get anything
