The Falling of These Tears

The Falling of These Tears

A tear from the darkly lit sky plummets to the ground
Crashing down on all these lonely cursed souls
Granted at least a little beauty for each drop
Each drop that hits their damned soul
Though they were cursed from the beginning
And aren't quite sure what they had done
They wonder through this world searching for their answers
In hopes that they may at last be at peace
At ease from all the confusion of their damnation
And rest their eyes for a night without horrific dreams
A night where new, much wonderful dreams may be formed
Where happiness might just be visible in their eyes
Or the answers they've been seeking be found
So that their confusion and sadness will slip away
Unsure as to if it will return but not thoughtful of that
For within this one night all happiness had been revealed
A memory made truly just for all of them
That will never be forgotten through time
And if their sadness possibly returns to them
Their memory of what happiness was will still remain
This one speck of darkness taught to them
That though they've been cursed they're not completely damned
Taught that beauty can exist in even the simplest of things
This beauty that's given them hope of seeing it again
Given just a little strength to keep them going on
Going on to find the answers and find happiness once more
The happiness that took all pain and suffering away
Relieved of all the hurt that bound them to this world
Relieved by just that drop of beauty that fell from the sky
A million darkened tears crashing all around their cursed souls
