Finding the Light

by saya   Mar 17, 2007

Darkness is consuming what was once trusted. The little girl doesn't know where to go. Shadows lurk at every corner but none that look familiar. Her past is a shadow her future a blur, and she is running out of time. The screams of the present make her shiver with fear. Her family is gone along with her peers. She needs someone to pull her out, but only sorrow comes. Time continues as the girl sits in the corner, trying to figure it out. She can not reason to why this has happened. Why is she being punished? Her nightmares are here and there, but where is her one true dream? To live happily ever after. Is it too much to ask? Could it mean she'll never be happy? While wrestling with her darkened thoughts, a brilliant light appears. The darkness around her quickly disappears. A magnificent golden light comes towards her, and through the golden beams she sees, a man beyond her imagination. He smiles at her and her body fills with warmth. His voice so calm and soothing says to her, "My dear you are forgiven for all you've done. I am here to save you, come join me and you will see. Your family awaits you through the golden gates." Her eyes full of tears and her heart full of love, steps out of her darkened box and walks through the heavenly gates to a lifetime full of love. Her dream has finally come true; she shall live happily ever after.
