What are we waiting for?

by Naomi   Mar 17, 2007

Tonight, let's get ripped,
Poor the vodka,
So all of our frustrations,
We'll hopefully forget.

Shut off the lights,
So darkness can murder my eyes.
Make no noise,
For time...will go by.

"What Am I waiting for?"
Your waiting to die,
For the time...
It will go by.

Death, she's after me,
And I'm sick of hiding.
My sins follow me,
That's how she finds me.

Give me another drink,
As I sit in the darkness.
Her home,
My home.
I hope she finds me soon,
I don't want to be alone anymore.

We meet face to face,
My heartbeat starts to race,
Her only question, "What are you waiting for?"
I tell her that I don't want to be here anymore,
That love has no place for me,
My family hates me,
I don't want to live these lies,
I want to live the truth.
She says, " What are you waiting for?"
I tell her, my last words...
"I was waiting for you."
