Whispers in the Dark

by Crissi Addiction   Mar 17, 2007

If you take my hand,
I'll lead you through my memories,
My thoughts,
My hopes,
My dreams.
This way please,
Don’t be shy.
It started last year,
When the voices began to whisper in the night.
When I gave up on my suicidal thoughts,
For they would not help.
Maybe,
A demon was trying to teach me a lesson,
For it didn’t seem like he was trying to help.
But the specialists said I was getting over my paranoia and
Depression.
I knew different though. I felt in the pit of my gut.
Oh I knew so well.
But the voices kept going.
They were trying to scream out.
My disturbed soul is crumbling slowly.
The voices were driving me insane.
So tonight I will commit an act that is very interesting indeed.
I will hang my dead soul.
I will jump in front of the bullet that means to cause you harm.
I will save your sane soul so you may live your life.
So I wait at heavens steps,
And tell St. Peter,
That I may not enter without my love,
And my best friend.
So I watch over you to ensure,
That your safe and secure.
