What We Will Never Be

I sit here and i wonder
About everything unsaid
About all the feelings left alone
All the bruises left to mend

I try to pretend Im happy
But I know that you can see
Right through my blue eyes
To how much that you hurt me

I dont know how we got this way
I cant even comprehend
All the problems leading up to this
And the loss of a best friend

As I sit here thinking
Wishes flood my mind
I think about what we could be
and leaving you behind

I dont want to do this
I want to see you now
But if i do, I cant trust myself
It will just bring me farther down
