The Invisible Truth

My agony has become invisible
No one sees the tears on my face
And no one sees the blood on my arms
Because no one bothers to look closely
At the person I have turned out to be

That's good though
Because if they did see through my fake smiles and laughs
It would only make me turn my face in utter shame
I've failed because my best fell short
And I can't accept my defeat
Even though everyone else knows it's over
I can't admit that because it hurts me too much

Does that make me weak,
Because I can't give up?
Or does that simply make me a troublesome fool
Interfering in her life by not letting go
Hurting her isn't in my agenda
But she acts as if I do it on purpose
I wish she knew how much I loved her
Because no one could deny me if they knew the truth
