Try To Be

Trapped within myself looking through demon eyes
I cant clearly see my vision is dark as the night skies

I want to do things right live a meaningful life
But I have been cut down by a razor sharp knife

I want to do the right thing be someone who's admired
Theres still a spark of passion like an ember in a fire

People break me down and seemingly dint care
I try to be a good person yet I get hurt it isn't fair

Try to be a friend to everyone one a shoulder on which to lean
But not many people look deep enough his side they haven't seen

I have very good morals or so I once thought
Looks as if my cause has slowly just been lost

But I will fight this struggle with everything I believe
I want people to see the other and the better side of me
