They claim to have been there with you. Through thick and thin. They said we had been through too much to just let it all go to waste. They made it seem like everything was your fault to try to make you feel all guilty and responsible for all the mishaps that occurred. They succeeded and were proud. Now what? You remain best-friends...supposedly. Things go swell. At least so they seem. Now about two years later you find yourself realizing what lying, deceiving, and conniving person they are. You wish everything could just go back to "normal", but it is too late. The damage has already been done and your rage is burning within. They expected you to be truthful and nice, while they went off and stabbed you in the back. Looks truly are deceiving. What could you have done to them to make them react in such a crucial manner? Nothing that you could remember. You were there for them when they needed you. You were kind, nice, and what not to them. The rage just keeps on burning until it reaches a point where you can no longer take this any more. It is time to face reality. No longer is anything the same, but still they expect you to remain the same. You are not a fake person like they are. You want to just tell them whats right. You don't care how bad it might get. After all that you have done for them, they went and did you wrong. So why be nice? Sorry, but it is time to release the claws. It is time to get real and mean. Real mean. |

Oh my god. My eyes did not blink once while I was reading that, Ive written and read so many broken friendship poems but yet none of them have explained how i truly feel. this poem is amazing, exactly the right words to explain my feelings. 2 of my ex best friends were like that, and the victim sadly is me. amazing, sad and perfect! xxxx |
