So unexpected

There was once a girl who had misplaced a part of her heart
She wasn't waiting for someone to uncover it
Her life was in total dismay
Alone she'd sit and cry herself to sleep remembering how she had hurt another
The pain she felt that day could have killed her
But she kept going
She wondered how long it would take for her sorrow to disappear
Would she regret the choice she had made?
Her mind tried to slip away from her to a time when everything was perfect
But her heart guided it back to that place where the pain
would hide under a blanket of deep emotions
Bitter was the only word that actually meant something to her now
They would blame it all on her
Say she was heartless
When really her heart is what tore her apart
Asking for a smile was like asking a new born baby to speak
She told herself it'd all be all right when she knew it would take time
There was this boy she'd always glare at in hallways
Everyday she'd just sit and stare
But who am I? She thought
He'll never even give me the time of day what makes you
think he'd wanna be with someone like me?
She'd see him with his girl and wonder why
She knew he deserved better
And although she didn't realize it she wished that he'd pick her
That she'd be the one he'd be calling baby

That day he finally spoke to her
This she could not comprehend
Is this really happening to me?
Can it be true?
I must be dreaming!
Days went by and her feelings for him deepened
She found herself thinking of nothing but him
His voice gave her butterflies
His touch sent shivers up her spine
Everyday she'd miss him more
She'd talk late on the phone for hours
Just to hear his voice
To feel closer to him
And when her lips kissed his for the first time
She saw her whole world flash before her eyes
She saw in him something no one else could see
She knew there was something hidden deep inside
And she was gonna find it
If he puts up a wall
She's willing to break them down
She won't let her chance slip away
Not this time
She knows he's different from the rest
Together they make each other strong
She will never try to change him but rather guide him in the right direction
She will be there when he needs someone to talk to
Someone to hold
Although they have a long way to go
This girl is willing to let her true feelings show
And hoping to get them in return
It's gonna be special this time
He's gonna be her baby

And to think this was all so unexpected
