The Crying Sky

by Daisha   Mar 21, 2007

The pain dances across her face under the crying sky.
It hurts too much to look back and she is to scared to look ahead.
Frozen in time under the crying sky.
She is a foolish little girl with hopes too high and feelings too strong.
The one she cares for the most will never look her way again.
Tears pouring down her face are cleverly disguised by the crying sky.
People begin to stare and she pulls out the facade.
There she stands, in the shadows of her mistakes.
She desperately misses the boy who she thought he was.
She looks forlornly at the cracks in the concrete,
thinking to herself that even the toughest things fall apart.
The skies cry out to her.
Her disguise fails as she surrenders.
As her pain recedes, people begin to scream.
Its too late, she has left behind her sorrow and misery.
Gone to a new world.
