Leaving you all Behind

by Carly   Mar 21, 2007

As I laying dying in my hospital bed
All these emotions going through my head
The docters saying once I close my eyes
You should probably all say your final goodbyes
Because I've only got about an hour to spare
Before I take in my last breath of air
And leave you all behind

My love, please mention me in your prayers
Kiss me one last time to show you care
I'm trying my best not to shead any tears
But it means so much to me that your here
Please open the window so I can see the sky
I want you to be the one to close my eyes
When I leave you behind

The sounds from the clock echo around the room
Once the hand strikes twelve it marks my doom
Take my cold hands and hold on tight
I think I'm starting to see the light
I've slipped away into the forever lasting sleep
The nurses walk in with the long white sheet
I've left the world behind
