My kitty, my baby

by Sara   Mar 22, 2007

My kitty, my baby...
I rescued you from that wilted box,
In the flea market that gave you those fleas,
I looked after you when noone else would,
took after all of your needs.

Though you went through the stress of moving 5 times,
You'd always come at my call,
When you tried to go feral,
I took you back as a scratching furball.

I have the scars to prove it,
I told my mom I could do it,
And look after you I did.
Be it washing, feeding, or playing around.

The moments we spent together I will always cherish,
Be it those nights when you were hyper and prevented me from getting sleep,
I will always remember those times where you would cuddle with me,
Or when you would listen to my fears and with your tail-
Wipe away my tears.

Now your death has caused these tears,
I know your spirit will always be with me,
So I just picture your silky tail,
Wiping away my tears of sadness in order for a sad smile to appear.
