Now and then

We were once a couple,
never wanted to part,
love too perfect for words,
deep inside the others heart.

We were always there for eachother,
our feelings grew stronger each day,
breaking up was so hard,
yet we thought it was the only way.

But that was then,
and this is now,
i look back at it and think,
that i made it through somehow.

And if i ever see you in life,
with someone you love, and a family,
I'll just smile and walk on by,
and remember the good times that used to be.
