Jewels of the Night

by Pure Peace   Mar 22, 2007

Glittering and twinkling in
the night
Startling and sprinkling in
the night
Shimmering and glistening in
the night
Scattering, enlightening, in
the night
What shadow can dim these effulgent lights,
Designed for tenebrous, troublesome nights,
And with His words, He molded molten light,
And threw it into the murked sky with might,
And there it scattered, and ceased to be one,
The blazing specks were partnered by the sun,
And that is where He left the night undone,
For it was now filled with dazzling stars.
