Paths of Life

by Pure Peace   Sep 30, 2006

Would you sleep upon a carpet gold,
Or rest amongest the dead of old,
Or fight amidst the soldiers bold,
Or live in fear?

Would you marvel at a work of art,
Or woo the lover of your heart,
Or from your morals never part,
Or waste a year?

Would you journey far to lands untold,
Or weather winter's bitter cold,
Or prove that dark can be controlled,
Or scoff and sneer?

Would you gather wisdom to impart,
Or give up life for your sweetheart,
Or laud your heroes, strong and smart,
Or death draw near?
