The World Today

by Willow   Mar 22, 2007

The nightmare of tomorrow,
Exist in you and me.
The heartbreak and the sorrow,
Will one day be seen.

The children's empty stomachs,
And their continues pleas,
Are a constant reminder,
Of the Third Worlds needs.

The cardboard beds,
And tattered clothes.
The empty promises,
And the broken homes.

The homeless and the hungry,
The drunks and the lonely,
Is a lifetime reminder,
Of where the money needs to go.

The dying reef,
And the fight for peace.
The crying mother,
And the disappearing murderer.

The empty daughter,
And the speechless son.
The emotional children,
And the father that's gone.

Our world is falling apart,
Because of every mistake.
Our leaders have no heart,
It's all about the money they make.
