A Tale Of Two Friends

by Br0k3n   Mar 22, 2007

They know each other for 10 years,
They were always there to wipe each others tears.

When storm was out, they were hugging tight,
Talking on the phone – wasting the night.

She never thought she could feel something more,
Something strong, deep into her core.

She was thinking about it all day long,
As he was in her mind with every sad, love song.

That night they were going out,
Both together, along with the crowd.

He knew her well, he noticed somethings wrong,
The feeling she hid was oh so strong.

She tried and tried to avoid the truth, denied that theres something weird,
Losing him she only feared.

Before she even said a word, he hugged her tight,
And suddenly for her, everything in the world was right.

She looked into his eyes, she knew there was no way out,
And she just wanted to run away and shout.

Words starting spilling, her thoughts were said,
And he said nothing, a bloody tear she shed.

10 minutes past, the silence made a sore,
She stood up and left him, another wound into her core.

The next few days, he didn't call,
She built up between them the Chinese wall.

She waited him for school, he didn't appear.
When she arrived, he was already there,
He said nothing, didn't apologize,
It seemed like he didn't care.

Since that day they barely talked,
she was broken, torn and sad.
She thought that she had lost him forever,
that their friendship came to an end.

However, one morning, while she was lying in her bed,
She was thinking about it, all the things she said.

She thought its just one huge mistake,
It was pain she couldn't take.

She went to school, silently sat on her place,
Among her friends, she couldn't see his face.

Some time after, he walked in,
She was falling apart, the ice was thin.

On the verge of breaking down, with eyes full of tears,
She just stood up and walked away, she didn't want anyone near.

Suddenly someone grabbed her arm, turned her around and pulled her near,
It was him that kissed her lips, him and all the wounds were healed.

He admitted his feelings, he loved her heeps,
The fear of losing her was in him deep.

He couldn't find a way of telling her his love,
He moved her hair from her face, told her shes more beautiful than a dove.

This is just the end of another happy fairy tale,
But whenever life gives us one, we usually use to fail.

*Long and crappy

Not long and crappy, long and beautiful. It was great. I loved it. Was sad, until the very end, but its true, we do often fail...I'm used to it by now. I'm guessing that it is you and your freind your talking about, Take care not to let it fail, it breaks your heart if it does, trust me.
    Another brilliant poem from you.
    Wanna read more.
