Painted Shades of Green

by Olivia   Mar 22, 2007

Unseen and unheard
I stand alone
Flying so high, a bird
On her own
I stand alone

Hidden behind the glass
All I can see is
My reflection, shaken and blurred
My face
Is all I can see

My deepest of dreams
Is to be where you are
My loudest of screams
Screams when you're far

I lie in the tall grass
Now I have an excuse
For being blind to the world

When the sun shines on me
I cry
When the stars come out
I laugh

I am confused
I am broken
I am different
I am just like you

Don't look at me
Because I'm real
Don't run away
Because you feel the way I feel

Trapped in a world
Of liars and thief's
Boys who steal young girls hearts
And girls that let themselves
Fall apart

I can hide
And I will
I can collide
And I have

The soul inside me
Burns with pain
Can you see
My tears hit the window pane?
Its me

This is a message
To those who hurt
You're not alone,
Alone here in the dirt

Camouflage
We hide away
Painted shades of green

We lie here in the grass.
