Mamaw

by Rachel RTVW   Mar 23, 2007

Lots of family were all there,
The Hospice nurse said a prayer.,
Then God took you to his place,
A peaceful look upon your face.
Up in heaven now you fly,
With angels you'll grace our sky.
You will be missed now that your gone,
But in our hearts and souls you'll live on.

This is for my Mamaw (my great-grandmother) who passed away today as I held her hand. She was a good woman, friend, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She will be missed by many. Heaven is rejoicing today as they have received such a special angel.

This brought tears to my eyes. It's like I saw everything that happened the day my grandmother died all over again. When they brought her in, when they went in the room to pray for her, holding her hand, and everyone around her. This is just so touching and heartbreaking. Thank you for sharing this. We all know she's in a way better place than all of us are. Keep strong! Take care
