I sit by the windowsill
Watching the rain hit the ground
Glancing at my arms, tears begin to fall
No one knows what lies beneath my smile
Through the years its begun to fade
Each day tears bring its end
Soon my eyes became dry
like a horrid drought
I could no longer cry
I knife in my hand
Tears formed a puddle on the floor
No ordinary tears fell that night
Tears that were once water slowly changed
They no longer fell from my eyes
The tears i now shed
Fall from the cuts in my arms instead
