Even On Days Like This (Acrostic)

by Italian Stallion   Mar 27, 2007

Even on days like this
Validity is hard to come by
Even though my intellect is like
No one else's

Oh how I feel like
No one cares

Deep down inside
A heart so full of passion
Yet, afraid to
Show you my love

Loving you
Is an adventure
Kills me to know
Even that you don't care

This love I hold
Hovers over my heart
I want to provide for you
So much love and attention

Acrostic Poetry is where the first letter of each line spells a word, usually using the same words as in the title. Pretty straight forward, no rhyme scheme or syllable count.

Acrostic poems are usually my favorite type of poetry, and I can connect to this poem. I love the choice of words through this piece, particularly in this paragraph:

    Even on days like this
Validity is hard to come by
Even though my intellect is like
    No one else's

    Great job! 5/5
