Waiting

by Wendy   Mar 27, 2007

I'm standing here,
Lonely in the dark.
Looking for someone,
to come catch my fall.

When no one comes,
I'm sitting here.
Looking through the night,
And I'm starting to fall.

All I see is darkness,
Through the clear night sky.
Standing on shredded glass,
While I'm falling way too fast.

As the night closes in around me,
I look beyond into the day.
There's nothing but pain I see,
So I will fall even harder today.

Clear as the light of day,
That pain will come once again.
But if for one second, I'll be happy,
I'll be there awaiting the day.
