Dreams

Last night I had a dream,
And you were in it with me,
You held me close to your side,
And wouldn't let me leave it.

You kissed me gently on the lips,
Mine rubbing softly back,
And all the world was silent,
In that moment that we had.

You held my hand and all was good,
You whispered in my ear,
How beautiful I was to you,
And how we'd last many years.

When I didn't wake up I pinched myself,
Just enough to see,
That all this fantasy was not a dream,
But something real to me.
